The BuddhaBag Meeting

by Patrick

I remember that summer in Dublin 2 years ago, when a friend of a friend of mine invited me to come along to the BuddhaBag meeting. I instinctively said, “Yes”, even though I knew nothing about it and had only a vague image of people lounging around on bean-bags, chatting about stuff, floating through my head. It turned out that was a pretty accurate estimation, but the “stuff” they were talking about was exactly the kind of stuff I was interested in: The Law of Attraction, The Power of Now, Tantra, Reiki, Shamanism, or Spiritual Cinema. You name it, they were open to it. Even if individually they didn’t agree with certain ideas or opinions, all were valid. It was amazing. I felt I’d finally found a group of people with whom I could share what I thought were my “far out” ideas, only to realise they were the norm in this group.

Since then I’ve become a regular, and have only grown to love the meeting and the people who attend it even more. There’s a couple of members who’ve been going regularly since Paul Congdon set it up 3 years ago, plenty of others who come every now and again, and hundreds who attended the meeting at some point or other over the years. The original idea was to get together with open-minded people to discuss and practice the teachings of Abraham Hicks and the Law of Attraction, and since then its attracted all manner of spiritual Guest Speakers, Workshop Facilitators, Healers, Gizmos, Movies and Fun! Still organised and hosted by Paul Congdon, now with a little help from my good self, the BuddhaBag meeting is not only more popular than ever before, but also expanding out around the country, where Paul has helped others to set up their own BuddhaBag meeting.

In Dublin, our venue is in Oscailt, 8 Pembroke Road, Dublin 4. We meet there every Thursday night at 8pm, and all are welcome, so come along, we’d love to have you. If you want more information, you can call Paul on 0861579518, or to get on our mailing list to find out who and what’s coming up at our upcoming meetings, you can email me at buddhabagmeeting@gmail.com

Namaste…Patrick.
