How to Manifest Your Home

Spring is in the air and the garden is coming alive again after the winter. This is our first spring at our new home so every day we wake up to new surprises like spring bulbs in the grounds and the surrounding hedgerows. In fact, the whole experience of living in this beautiful place is just one big surprise that we consciously designed and co-created along with the law of attraction.

Last autumn, after two years living together near Dalkey, my partner’s daughters were getting ready to fly the nest and we felt that it was time for a change of scene. We had no idea where we were going to end up, but we put all our understanding of the law of attraction into action as we started to hunt for houses.

First of all we made a list of things that we loved about the house we lived in, such as the space, the well-proportioned rooms and so on. Then we made a list of all the things we didn’t like about it and used each ‘dislike’ to give us information about what we wanted instead. For example, we were fed up with paying venues for our workshops and courses, so we wanted a home with a big room to run these in.

Next, we put together a vision board for our new home with images and words that signified the essence of what we wanted. Words such as peace, light, water, outdoor living, and nurturing. We hung this in the kitchen so we saw it every day. Then, we let go of any attachment to where in Ireland our new home might be. Since we had no particular ties, we opened ourselves up to the possibility of living anywhere. We just held the vision, talked about how wonderful our new home was going to be and kept our minds open.

It is great to have a vision and to trust in the universe, but you also need to take a little inspired action when working with the law of attraction, so we went and viewed a couple of houses around Dublin and Wicklow. Each one that we saw helped us to get clearer about what it was that we really wanted. For example, one of them was beautiful except that it had a huge electricity pylon in the garden so that helped us to realise that we did not want to be near pylons or too many overhead cables.

One day Eoin, my partner, showed me a stunning property that had come onto the market and that seemed to fit all our criteria. The only downside was that it was in another country. But, we trusted that we were being divinely guided and set off on the one-and-a-half hour journey north to view Chantry Hill in Co Down. When we discovered that the owner was a reiki therapist and sensed the calm, healing energy in the house, we knew we were in the right place. Everything fell into place effortlessly, and six weeks later we started the next phase of our exciting lives together. We now get so much joy from sharing this special place with everyone.

With spring on the way, what are you planting in the garden of your life today with your thoughts and energy? Are you consciously planting what you want to see growing or are there a few  unwanted things growing too? Now is a great time to spring clean your mind and energy and create some beauty in your life.
