JAN 30TH: THE WONDERFUL JOHN BOWKER RETURNS

In our voices we have amazing power – in them we can find a nourishment often untapped in the modern world. All traditional indigenous cultures weave Spirit Songs – music used to create powerful magic and bring blessings to their people. From early times in Europe we shared those traditions of holding enchantment and focused intention through our song. Humans sing, and our songs carry us into our joy.
In this workshop we will explore both an uplifting song of power from Africa and a working of an ancient song from the Celtic Carmina Gadelica – a secret treasure of runes and prayers from the Outer Hebrides in Scotland. It is an invocation of protection and healing to carry us forward in this New Year.
In this Heartsong class we work kindly and playfully together. We will build a boat of harmony and good intentions to sail on a journey of healing and beauty together. No previous singing experience is needed to participate, all are welcome to join in.
Please arrive in good time for our session – no late arrivals after 8.30pm.
