Communication is at the heart of what it means to be a human being. We are expressing organisms, weaving tapestries of meaning in everything we do. The act of speech contains so much power and beauty, and yet is so often a diluted and distorted thing. How can we really say what we mean, and mean what we say?
Spoken word artist and storyteller Dave Rock and comedian Aidan Killian, aka ‘The Sitting Room Bards’, are hosting an evening of deep reflection, wonderful play and high energy exploration around the art and heart of speech. They will share from their huge experience of performance and teaching across a wide range of expressive fields, speaking as a human being, and being tongue-tied and outrageously eloquent! They will both speak from the heart about what it means to share truth, and to let truth be embodied in us as we speak. They will guide the group through a fantastical array of speaking games and exercises, which will be beautiful, powerful, loads of fun and will offer inspiration and guidance in stepping into the power and grace of your own voice.
