Are Yoga Festivals the New Music Festival?

We’re seen festivals incorporate more and more wellness aspects. Dancing and music has to be good for the soul but we’ve also seen food at festivals getting better, more diverse and healthier and festivals like Body & Soul offering hot tubs and yoga classes alongside the gigs and chaos. A yoga festival doesn’t seem like such a big leap for a generation of health-conscious hipsters and soulful conscious little spirit beings. And this summer Ireland has at least two on offer. Moynalty Yoga Festival (13-14 June) open to every experience level, age group and families is in its fourth year and 2015 is the first year of the West Cork Yoga Festival (August Bank Holiday Weekend).

The West Cork Yoga Festival is a three day gathering celebrating a diversity of Yoga styles and practice, movement and healing in the beautiful setting of An Sanctoir’s 30 acre nature reserve near Ballydehob, West Cork. Immerse yourself deeply in the practice, philosophy and expression of Yoga, as well as inhabiting a space and atmosphere to relax, unwind, connect with nature, ourselves and each other. It’s a camping event, with on site facilities, vegetarian café and teashop and families are very welcome.

Would you pick it over a music festival? Or choose it to recover from one?
