We’ve long been huge fans of Veggie Vibe Café, an all-vegan food haven in the lovely Blackrock market. Like many small businesses, they were forced to shut up shop when the coronavirus situation escalated … but they are soon looking to reopen on a limited takeaway basis.
Marcel Pawlak, owner of the café, explained in a Facebook post that after a long period of isolation, the time finally felt right to start reopening the doors on a limited basis. He shared the takeaway menu online, and we loved the sound of it! All orders can be made by calling Marcel on 0894162096, then collecting your food in the café. It will be open on Fridays and Saturdays from 11am to 7pm, and on Sundays from 11am to 4pm.

Mexican bowl – roasted peppers, onion, with black and red beans in spiced, rich tomato and chili sauce with a hint of dark chocolate, served with brown rice, avocado, vegan yoghurt, parsley, jalapeno, crunchy tortilla chip and parsley – €12.50 (SP)
Fried Tempeh salad – Tempehmarinated in Tamari sauce, maple syrup, spices and herbs served with grilled pineapple on spinach, with jalapeno relish, salad served with toasted bread or brown rice – €12.00 (gluten-free option) (S,SP)
