Nobody feels positive about life all the time and how we look at life is as important as what happens to us. According to research by Stanford professor Sonja Lyubomirsky, for her book ‘The How of Happiness’, while we each have a ‘set point’ for happiness, it can be reset and leaves 40% of our happiness under our own control. The three Cs in life – Choice, Chance, Change are simple, but highly effective applied to this theory.
Choices are at the heart of our humanity. For every choice, there is a consequence. A consequence also has consequences! Choices shape who we are, how we live, and what we become. But our attitude also plays a pivotal role. It’s Monday morning. One student arrives at school thinking “I have to be here”, another is thinking “This is where I want to be”. Our attitude not our aptitude determines our altitude.
For every situation we find ourselves in, we have at least five hundred choices. How liberating! When you make one choice, if it doesn’t work, there are still four hundred and ninety-nine left.
Change can cause feelings of anticipation and fear. It is a challenge and an opportunity to live life fully. As Napoleon Hill said, “Your only limitation is the one you set up in your own mind!” Sowing the seeds of change, paves the way for growth, progression and prosperity. So, the best way to realise positive change in your life is by making “choices”. We are invited to choose life and to capitalise on it. The only thing constant in life is change so do not wait for your ship to come in swim out to it. Now is your chance. Something holding you back? Change it!

The Little Pharma supply the freshest, hydroponically produced barley and wheat grasses, all grown, adored and cared for in their purpose built unit, right here in Dublin. Hydroponic growing is actually a centuries old technique that brings out the very best in grasses like barley and wheat.
In March of 2014 Darren and Amanda opened The Hydro Club and initially their plan was to be a hydroponic and horticultural supply store, but having experienced difficulties finding a consistent supply of fresh produce to fit their needs, they decided to start growing their own and this sparked the idea to create The Little Pharma product range.
Why would you want to get these grasses into you in the form of their little super shots?
Barley grass is simply the leaves of the Barley plant and has many health benefits, especially if the grass is harvested when it is younger. In the early years of civilisation, Barley was one of the first cereal grains to be cultivated, and it’s been keeping us healthy ever since. It contains antioxidants and may help to lower cholesterol levels. According the The Little Pharma, wheat grass is nature’s finest medicine! Its juice makes for a powerful concentrated liquid nutrient and for best results the juice should be taken undiluted and on an empty stomach, this helps it become absorbed more efficiently. Roughly 60 grams of Wheat grass juice has the nutritional equivalent of more than 2,000 grams of the best raw organic vegetables, has twice the amount of Vitamin A as carrots and is higher in Vitamin C than oranges. It also contains the full spectrum of B vitamins, along with calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium and potassium. Lastly, it’s a veggie friendly source of protein.

Dr. Mary Helen Hensley, author of Promised by Heaven and a recent speaker at The Buddha Bag Meeting, has announced that she’ll now be available to book in with for healing sessions in Dublin. In her recently published book, Dr. Hensely, who describes herself as a ‘janitor of the spirit and metaphysical healer, details her life and background, as well as her near death experience, and what she gained and learned from it.
Wit, Wisdom and WOW are synonymous with Dr. Mary Helen Hensley. Her marriage of no holds barred humour and honesty with integrity and compassion make her one of Ireland’s most sought-after metaphysical healers and synergistic speakers. She received a Doctorate of Chiropractic in America, and has been practicing in Ireland since 1999. She has spent the last ten years building her practices, and has facilitated the healing process for countless individuals, all referred to her by word-of-mouth.
In December of 1991, Mary Helen Hensley was involved in a car accident. Upon impact, she felt time stall and temporarily left her body. In those moments, Mary Helen was consumed with a sudden clarity. She realised she had the choice to either remain in her body or exit from the earth, allowing the remainder of the scene to unfold without feeling any pain. She chose to depart from her body—and enter heaven. In heaven, Mary Helen was welcomed by two angels who walked her through the place of light and encouraged her to go back to earth and help others. When she returned to earth, Mary Helen was suddenly struck with a desire to live a life of service and quickly set out on a journey into metaphysical healing.
Her adventures took her to Ireland, where she went on to become a chiropractor, find love and new friendships, become a mother, and help numerous people with her gifts.

In the western world we’re taught that we must base our choices on logical reasoning, but many spiritually open-minded people have recognised the need to listen to their hearts. But there are common pitfalls and misunderstandings in attempting to listen to the heart that we can overcome through ‘Karunyamarga’, the spiritual art of compassion.
The heart feels everything – true feelings like gratefulness, generosity, acceptance or kindness can give us direction, but we also feel emotions like jealousy, greed, anger and pain – results of defense reactions and aversions. When we listen to those emotions our thoughts and resulting actions can be painful for ourselves and those around us. But to only follow good feelings would be a form of avoidance. And sometimes illusions can feel very good! If our ego gets stroked, our identity is confirmed, or an attachment has been satisfied, we feel some kind of happiness.
What we truly seek is an alliance of heart and mind. The mind carries essential principles we need in order to make a discriminative choice for the truth and emotions are important messengers we can use as part of the process. If we bring our mind into a state of receptivity, while being present to our ability to feel, we can surrender all restrictions to our higher mind, which is one with divine mind. Once the right answer touches the feeling aspect of the heart, an alignment of mind and heart is ignited. We can perceive this as a sublime issuance of bliss.

Kosi, who was born Jill L. Warner in Pennsylvania, grew up in the suburbs of McLean Virginia. She studied Fine Arts and established a successful career in computer science. However, feeling her success offered no lasting happiness, her spiritual quest began, leading her to many of the world’s most renowned teachers. Now she herself is a spiritual teacher, sharing how we can come to the freedom, peace and laughter that she says is ever present in the core of our being.
She ran a course in Dublin recently called ‘The Yoga of Now’, teaching participants to allow and surrender. “We’re used to following the mind, having an internal dialogue, but in this workshop everything is focussed on surrendering the powers of mind to this moment, to discover what’s actually here and not what we imagine is here.”
The three primary aspects of what she teaches are satsang or self-inquiry, silence, through meditation, and sound or mantras and she teaches much of this in her book, Organic Awakening. “I called the book Organic Awakening because the minute you recognise yourself as pure awareness, which is seeing the consciousness that is looking through your eyes, it’s like planting the seed of your attention into the infinite realm of your???? own heart, and that starts a natural, organic evolution of your consciousness. And so it’s effortless, just like a plant grows.”
She travels the world to teach these ideas and practices and will be in Ireland this September. If you don’t catch her here, check out one of her online meetings. kosi.co
