Krishna Das Visits Dublin: 15th and 16th
We are thrilled to announce that the renowned Kirtan singer and teacher Krishna Das will be joining us for two very special events this month. The first event we are offering with Krishna Das is a Peace Of My Heart Kirtan. It will run from 7.00 to 9.30 p.m. on Saturday June 15th. The second event is a Peace Of My Heart Kirtan Workshop which will run from 1.00 to 4.00 p.m. on Sunday June 16th. Both events are taking place in the Griffith Conference Centre, Griffith College, South Circular Road, Dublin 8. Positive Nights Presents: An Evening With Venant Wong
This July, we are excited to invite Kundalini transmission expert Venant Wong back to Positive Nights on Wednesday July 3rd, from 7.30 to 9.30 p.m. in Bewley’s Café, 78/79 Grafton Street, Dublin 2. Venant Wong is a transmission vehicle, and the founder of KAP (Kundalini Activation Process). Solstice – A Rewilding Adventure
Kathy Scott of holistic hub The Trailblazery describes their upcoming Solstice gathering as ‘a holistic retreat in the wilderness and an uncivilised summer school designed to re-kindle our connection to our untamed nature.’ Participants will be guided through sacred practices with leading Irish wisdom keepers. Martin is the director of the OakTree Charitable Trust, a nonprofit organization that runs the Irish Centre for Shamanic Studies and The Transpersonal Institute at Dunderry Park.
The Centre is dedicated to promoting and preserving shamanic traditions from around the world, particularly those of the pre-Celtic and Celtic era. Contemporary Transpersonal approaches are also taught at the centre. Martin has worked as a mental health care professional since 1977. He is an accredited transpersonal /Jungian psychotherapist. He has trained in various forms of consciousness raising methods including Holotropic Breathwork ™, Dreamwork, Trance dancing and Firewalking.
His grandfather and mother are traditional folk healers and he is following in their footsteps. His work is influenced by the Druid traditions of ancient Ireland.
He has done fieldwork with indigenous Shamans from Mongolia, Mexico, the Amazon, Andes, and Africa and also has trained in core Shamanism with the Foundation of Shamanic Studies (U.S.A.) and the Scandinavian Centre for Shamanic Studies.
Martin brings warmth and compassion to his shamanic practice. He has strong values with regards integrity, honesty and openness, in particular he believes in empowering the individual to find healing, knowledge and wisdom within themselves.
