The Secret Magic of Gardens
By Leonie Cornelius – ‘Supergarden’ Mentor
I love gardens; big gardens, small gardens, box-hedge formal to meadow wild. Nature’s rooms are spaces that have a profound impact on our spiritual and emotional wellbeing. As a garden designer and interior architect, I’m fascinated by how the designed garden space is really an extension of our interior lives and ultimately ourselves.
Have you ever walked into a garden and felt yourself sigh in delight? Some gardens have that magical quality and yet are simply a few trees and shrubs, whilst others, designed to the millimeter, don’t have the same effect. It’s something that garden designer Dan Pearson calls ‘Spirit’ and it relies on many factors that come together like a puzzle.
Sometimes it’s almost impossible to define what it actually comes down to. Sympathetically designed gardens aim to take into account the existing site along with the interior of the house and the lives of the people who spend time there. Good garden design should aim to create something more than just a pretty garden. It should ground us yet allow us to dream. It should let us own the space and make it ours without forgetting that we are part of a far greater wild and wonderful picture. It should become a space where lives unfold, a space for contemplation and a space for laughter. Ultimately, its unique and personalised spirit should bring harmony and make our lives more beautiful. Our garden is us, perfectly imperfect, ever changing and full of Spirit.
Don Sebastian Suclle is an Andean Master Shaman, he was born in the Q’ero Nation a village at the southeast of Cusco, ancient capital of the Americas. Sebastian comes from lineage of medicine people, his apprenticeship began at very young age soon after he was struck by lightning. Thus began his initiation in the Shamanic path as a Servant of Pachamama ( Mother Earth ) and the Apus (Mountain Spirits).
The Q’ero nation work and live as a community of about 2000 people, living high in Peruvian Andes mountains Waman Lipa 4,300mts. The main activity besides agriculture, is weaving and it’s threw their weaving they have been communicating since they don’t have a written language.
The Q’ero are the last descendants of the Inka Civillisation. When the Conquistador invaded Peru in the 16th century they fled high in Andes and were able to maintain the Q’ero knowledge and Shamanic tradition dating back thousands of years. These traditions and their ancient medicine ways passed from generation to generation are now being shared with the modern World.
Q’ero Shamans believe it is paramount to be in right relationship with Mother Earth, our families, our friends, our work, and each person and everything we interact with, not just those we love, but to be in right relationship with every part of our lives, including ourselves. This is to live in AYNI.

Moynalty Yoga Festival took place last August for the first time, was resoundingly(lots of gongs, bowls, chanting & sound healing) successful and will be run this year over 2 days due to popular demand. Our theme this year is Honouring the Divine Feminine – Reclaiming our Power – We have 3 areas of meditation, yoga and dance classes over the 2 days and a large group ancestral healing ritual and meditation led by Amantha Murphy on saturday evening the 22nd of June.
Moynalty is situated in the heart of Co Meath in the midst of many of our ancient royal sites and we will be tuning into the site building ancestors as part of the ritual. This will be followed by a moon mantra meditation at midnight under the Solstice Full Moon and we begin the next morning at 5am with kundalini yoga and meditation. Fabulous teachers, workshop leaders and speakers. The aim of the festival is to showcase yoga and meditation, demonstrate it’s effectiveness in dealing with the issues which face our society today – stress, anxiety, chronic illness. Also to consciously meditate to bring about positive change in our country, remembering that our sovereignty was always aligned with the goddess & knowing that even if we dont consciously have the answers, our souls do. Knowing, also, that group meditation is a powerful tool to journey deep inside and find those answers and our power so that we can ground them in our present reality.
Many people have said that the energy in Moynalty is special. I have heard it compared to Glastonbury more than once. It’s a completely voluntary event, run by volunteers and the teachers and speakers all volunteer their time freely.
An essential, day-long yoga event for your 2013 calendar. You’ll have the opportunity to

Come Take A Journey with Martina Finnerty PhD Through

Liberation from Belief Systems
Self-Healing / Placebo / Miracles
THE POWER OF KNOWING
The Power of KNOWING is an ingeniously simple journey with Martina Finnerty PhD, through a series of understandings and realisations, to a place of KNOWING. There is a distinct difference, upon hearing something important for our wellbeing, between taking it in as an interesting/useful piece of information [when this happens, it is stored in our mind like DATA in a computer] and incorporating it, through MIND, so that it becomes REALISED within and integrates into our being, thus influencing our function henceforth.
Every human mind has stored and active Belief Systems picked up during life, and these continually generate our perceptions of ourselves and thus our living experience. Every human being also has a core seed self that they came into this life with; this seed self is full of potential, creativity, love and an infinite source of ineffable gifts and power.
The presence of this inherent power is clear when we study the placebo effect, miracle healings, and the resilience and creativity of those who have survived even the most horrendous of life experiences. When we bring into consciousness and KNOW the difference between functioning through invalid and limiting BELIEF SYSTEMS and functioning from and through our KNOWING core seed selves, then we free ourselves to live our life in response to the stream of infinite and profoundly powerful and wise energy that comes to us through our seed self. Thus free, we shift from living our life experience in response to triggers and step into living through the Empowering Existence that comes from and through KNOWING. Come enjoy this profound and yet simple Journey through realisations that shift consciousness from the influence of Negative and self- limiting beliefs into the Freedom and Paradise of Living From and Through THE POWER OF KNOWING.

You are immortal. Your body is not.
” Happy Mind + Healthy Body = Wonderful Life.”
When you were born, a new perspective was created. A part of our formless self (pure awareness) squeezed itself into a new form (your body) in order to have another unique experience of the infinite variations of physical existence. Seeing the world from your unique perspective, you became identified with your body and circumstances, and this became the basis of your character.
The mechanism of separation allows for the experience of relationship, one of the main purposes of life as more than one incarnation. The other main purpose is creation. You were created and you can create, and you can create things that can create other things themselves. So, the ultimate purpose of life is 3-fold: Experience, Relationship and Creation. You are succeeding in this in every single moment.
Your body will last a lifetime, and then it will die and rest in peace. Your consciousness will return from whence it came and you will once again be fully aware of the truth of who you are. In the meantime, while you are your physical incarnation, the most fulfilment you can have is to fully express your unique self. To that end, it is a good idea to do more of what you love to do and are naturally gifted at, and to take care of your body the way you would a pet.
Pets need the right food and clean drinking water, plenty of exercise and fresh air, an appropriately stimulating and clean habitat, and (depending on the pet) a certain amount of company and cuddles. Is your body getting its RDA of cuddles? Do you live in a home that nourishes your body, mind and soul? How often do you exercise and spend time in nature? Do you drink plenty of fresh, clean water every day?
The foods you eat affect not only your body but also your mind. Emotions are chemicals that are released by certain thoughts – such as stressful thoughts releasing adrenaline and noradrenaline into your body’s chemistry as part of the “fight or flight” response. In the same way, different foods will break down in your body and activate different chemical reactions. Some of these are beneficial to the body and mind, and some are not. The wrong foods can cloud the mind, attract stressful thoughts and activate negative emotions. The right foods for your particular body will promote positive feelings, peaceful thoughts and clarity of mind. This will, in turn, affect your physical health. (Read more about Positive Food here.)
Another way the body can affect the mind is through exercise. Exercising the body releases endorphins, which are feel good chemicals. The flip side of this relationship can be found in the use of visualisation as part of athletic training. Athletes who visualise themselves performing their chosen sport to the best of their body’s ability have been shown to significantly improve in their actual performance.
A similar principle is applied in Laughter Yoga, where the body and mind are fooled into releasing happy chemicals by the gesticulations of smiling and laughing. It seems the body doesn’t know the difference between a real and a fake laugh or smile. Speaking of which, I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase: “Laughter is the best medicine.” Well, I’d say Love is even better for the body and the mind. I recently read that cuddling relieves anxiety and depression, and strengthens the immune system; and I’d well believe it, especially knowing what I know about Oxytocin (the love hormone).
While the effect of your physical well-being on your mental health is strong, the effect of the mind on the body is even stronger. Physical health is a good foundation for a happy mind, but the cultivation of a clear mind can lead to the most amazing physical and transcendental experiences of life. Doing this, you can bring more of your god-self into your physical manifestation, and increase the beneficial effect you exert over the Law of Attraction.
Happy Mind + Healthy Body = Wonderful Life.

Real wisdom comes from within
When I was born, I relied on the wisdom of my parents and guardians to keep me alive. As I grew older, I learned from my own experience, but society placed more importance on my learning from teachers and textbooks. My role models were my family and friends, and characters on TV and in comic books. It was the norm to accept the opinions of doctors, priests, Gardaí and politicians over our own thoughts and feelings. However, while this provides us with a wealth of information that our intellectual mind can then process into useable knowledge, real wisdom only comes from within.
This habit of looking outside of ourselves for the answers to our internal questions only works if we look with the understanding that our outer world is a reflection of our inner world. In that way, we can get an idea of what is going on in our mind and our energy field by looking at what we are attracting into our experience. This can be helpful when there is no obvious pattern of thought related to our recurring experiences. Otherwise, my advice is to cultivate the stillness and silence required to clearly hear your own inner guidance.
It goes by many names: intuition, inspiration, your higher self, your gut feeling. Whatever you would like to call it, it is in tune with all-that-is in the moment it makes itself heard. It is of the moment, for the moment; and once you have gotten used to it, tuning in becomes second nature, only takes a second, and won’t leave you second guessing.
The process is three-fold. Firstly, listen, with all of your senses, for what might be a fleeting glimpse of the most brilliant insight. Secondly, trust that guidance, even when your intellectual mind begs to differ. Thirdly, act upon the impulse in the moment it was meant for. If you procrastinate because your intellectual mind frightens you with logic, the alignment can move out of sync, and the inspired action might miss its target.
The trick is to recognise the difference between intuition, desire and fear. I’ve been practicing tuning in for years now, and it has become relatively easy to recognise that feeling of pure guidance from a clear source, but I do still have moments clouded by fear and desire. I also have moments when I’m not even trying to tune in, and some guidance comes through loud and clear.
The right time to act is also something that can be known intuitively, so check in before you act out. Sometimes, the best thing to do is wait. You may feel almost in alignment, but not quite. When I feel this way, I trust that some energy is in the process of shifting and I will know when the time is right for me to act. Like with any creative process, the gestation period is just as important as the expression.
I try to honour my cycles of rest and productivity as much as possible. When I ignore my intuition on the orders of my sense of obligation, my work doesn’t flow, I feel stressed, and I usually encounter problems such as my computer freezing. That’s why, when I’m facilitating a healing session, I put total trust in my intuition, even if I’m guided to pause for an indefinite amount of time.
As the You-niverse is ever-changing, the intuitive guidance you received earlier in the year may no longer be fitting. Your alignment could have changed dramatically within a short space of time, which is why it is important to check in on a regular basis. Let go of what was right for then, and tune in to what is right for now. When you go with the flow, you can live a fulfilling life of effortless ease.

“There are no extra pieces in the universe. Everyone is here because he or she has a place to fill, and every piece must fit itself into the big jigsaw puzzle.”
– Deepak Chopra
Deepak Chopra has made clear his conviction that it is within the potential of every human being to live an enriching, self-aware, magnificent life. But to reach that state of empowerment is a difficult task, calling for courage, will power and – often – guidance.
In this talk Deepak Chopra offers that guidance and encouragement, and solutions enabling you to take your life into your own capable hands. There is a spiritual solution for every problem you face whether that be job loss, financial difficulties, relationship issues, health problems or spiritual dilemmas.
Over the course of his career as a physician, teacher, and bestselling author, Deepak Chopra has received thousands of questions like these from people facing all kinds of challenges:
- Can a stagnant career be jump-started?
- In a world full of distractions and stress, how does one find time for meditation?
- How do I nurture more spiritual relationships?
- How can awareness have long-term effects on body and mind?
- How do I lead a fulfilling life?
Hidden inside all of these questions is an answer waiting to be uncovered. With practical insight, Chopra will provide the tools and strategies to enable you to meet life’s challenges from within and to experience a sense of genuine fulfillment and purpose.
“If you want to reach a state of bliss, then go beyond your ego and the internal dialogue. Make a decision to relinquish the need to control, the need to be approved, and the need to judge. Those are the three things the ego is doing all the time. It’s very important to be aware of them every time they come up.”
– Deepak Chopra
Deepak Chopra will share how to expand your awareness, which is crucial to combating the confusion and conflict we all face. Deepak Chopra will discuss what he calls “the true self,” where peace, clarity, and wisdom serve as guides in times of crisis. Spirituality is primarily about consciousness, not about religious dogma or relying on the conventional notion of God. “There is no greater power for success and personal growth than your own awareness.”
With wisdom and compassion, Chopra offers us the guidance and encouragement necessary to face adversity, transform obstacles into opportunities, and live a satisfying, enlightened life.
“You and I are essentially infinite choice-makers. In every moment of our existence, we are in that field of all possibilities where we have access to an infinity of choices.”
– Deepak Chopra
