Invest in the wellness of your body
In the heart of Dun Laoghaire, near my home, I was blessed to have stumbled upon a Korean master, Master Hyun, who has 20 years experience in health matters. He is a wealth of knowledge and looks eternally youthful. Along with Master Soo, our own home-grown Irish master, they offer both CheonSoo and HAMT.
CheonSoo is a vital energy treatment using acupressure on different points in the body, combined with the powerful sound of the breath of the practitioner. When I receive a treatment, I feel the energy flow in my body increase, my digestion gets a thorough tune up and I leave feeling buzzed up and ready for action.
HAMT (Hand Acupressure Magnetic Therapy) is a one-day course they run which empowers the individual to look after their own health. Through a series of kinesiology tests, they determine your energy constitution from a Korean perspective and then, using a special instrument made by Master Hyun called a Hamtic, you are shown a series of acupressure points on your fingers which can greatly improve your health. The hamtic contains positive and negative magnets. The positive magnet recharges the points that need it, and the negative magnet acts as a detox.
In Ireland, the variety of alternative treatments available has grown hugely in the last number of years. All are valid, so keep an eye in your local area, you may have a Korean master knocking around, or an Irish one for that matter.
Master your own health and give your body the investment it deserves.

Visiting Derry (City of Culture 2013) for the Children in Crisis / Culture of Compassion event, HH Dalai Lama brought with him a message of peace, compassion, openness and hope for the future based on the children of today. 300 of which joined him in his walk across the Peace Bridge, where he was met by 3 other award winning children of the future. Amazingly, the sun shined brightly for the duration of his walk across the bridge, only for the heavens to open when he reached the other side (symbolic?).
