Positive Nights Presents: Awaken Feminine Spirituality with Aedamar Kirrane
We are delighted to present ‘Awakening Feminine Spirituality: an Evening of Diving Into Love With Aedamar Kirrane’. This event will take place on Thursday June 27th, from 7.30 to 9.30 p.m. in Bewley’s Café, 78/79 Grafton Street, Dublin 2.
Aedamar Kirrane is a writer and a philosopher. When deeply engaged in the search for the meaning of life during her philosophy studies, she experienced a spontaneous spiritual awakening. For the first time ever, she came into a deep sense of meaning and purpose to her life. Her spiritual experiences changed the course of her life, causing her to undertake deep studies in mysticism across all religions and wisdom systems. Ultimately, Aedamar came into a life changing understanding of God as Love, and felt a deep sense of calling to pursue the path of teaching the mystical Oneness of all through Love.
She is now committed to supporting others to find deeper meaning and purpose in life: to come into a direct and unmediated relationship with God through the practice of Love and meditation.
She has just finished writing a memoir about her spiritual experiences. She is passionate to share her philosophical learning about the de-spiritualisation of the world that began in the last Axial Age, 2,500 years ago, at the beginning of the Age of Reason. Humanity is now entering a new Axial Age and shifting into The Spiritual Age, but we are unprepared for this shift, because individually and culturally, our spiritual faculty is completely under-developed. There is now an urgent need to re-embrace the sacred and learn to live in co-creation, cooperation and collaboration with each other, Nature and God.
Aedamar is committed to supporting the re-spiritualisation of the world. Her calling is to promote Love as a means of working towards world peace, healing humanity and healing Mother Nature. Aedamar now believes that spiritual awakening is as natural a milestone in life as learning to walk. Everyone is called to awaken at this time, but we don’t always know how to respond because historically we have lost touch with the true essence of our spiritual nature. Her commitment is to support women in particular to awaken to this New Age of Feminine Spirituality and Love.

We are thrilled to announce that the renowned teacher and kirtan singer Krishna Das will be joining us for two very special events this June, both taking place in Griffith Conference Centre, Griffith College, South Circular Road, Dublin 8. THIS PAGE is for the second of these events: a workshop with Krishna Das on Saturday June 15th.
Krishna Das’ journey began in the late 1960s. He met spiritual seeker Ram Dass and traveled across the country with him, captivated by stories of his recent trip to India, where he had met the legendary guru Neem Karoli Baba, known to most as Maharaj-ji. In August 1970, Krishna Das left behind his dreams of being a rock star and made his way to meet this remarkable Being.
Basking in the love of Maharaj-ji in the three years that followed, Krishna’s heart was drawn to the practice of Bhakthi Yoga: the yoga of devotion. After two and a half years with Maharaj-ji, he returned to the USA – and sadly, six months after his return, he received word that Maharaj-ji had died.
‘I will sing for you in the west,’ he promised his beloved Guru in his own heart. This did not come easily. As Krishna recounts in his book Chants of a Life Time, it took him almost twenty years to sing with groups of people around the USA.
In 1994, he started leading chants at Jivamukti Yoga Center, NYC. Over the years, he continued chanting, developing his signature style, fusing the traditional kirtan of the east with western harmonic and rhythmic sensibilities. With a remarkably soulful voice that touches the deepest chord in even the most casual listener, Krishna Das – known to friends, family, and fans as simply KD – has been called yoga’s ‘rock star.’
He has taken call-and-response chanting out of yoga centres and into concert halls, becoming a worldwide icon and the best-selling western chant artist of all time. KD now travels the world offering retreats and workshops, sharing his kirtan practice and wonderful stories of his life, of Maharaji-ji, of his life on the Path, and how we can bring chanting into our lives.
To date, KD has released sixteen well-received albums, including Live Ananda (released January 2012), which was nominated for a Grammy in the Best New Age album category. In February 2013, KD performed at the Grammy awards in Los Angeles. The award-winning film One Track Heart: The Story of Krishna Das has been screened in over 100 US cities and over 10 countries worldwide, and is available on DVD.
In 2014, the Kirtan Wallah Foundation was formed. The Foundation is dedicated to spreading the teachings of KD’s guru and spiritual teacher, Maharaj-ji. His teachings can be summed up by his saying:
‘Love Everyone. Serve Everyone. Remember God.’
