CNM Dublin, 4th Floor, Scotch House, 6-7 Burgh Quay, Dublin 2, €15

Come and be inspired by the power of natural therapies to promote health and vitality! The event will be packed with fabulous tips on how to look after your health naturally. Plus, if you’re thinking of changing your career, you’ll get the chance to find out more about training with CNM to become a natural health practitioner.

Speaking first will be Sorcha Taylor who qualified in Herbal Medicine & Naturopathy with the College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2010. She is passionate about Herbal Medicine and the benefits herbs have on the body. Many people are aware that plants are healing to the body but are not sure how it really works.

Join Sorcha at the CNM Ireland Open Day and hear how herbs are categorised, what parts of the plants are used and the actions and effect they have on the body. Sorcha will also explain the multiple actions that many herbs have as well as what herbs you can choose to help your body adapt back into balance. For example, dandelion leaf is a diuretic, which means it helps you to eliminate water in the form of urine. Many people who use synthetic diuretics also need to take potassium supplements to keep their electrolytes balanced, yet dandelion leaf has a natural amount of potassium. This is just part of the wonderful picture that herbs and nature can play in your health, it is as if nature knows what the body needs. Come along and find out what herb suits you.

“To find a college that taught Herbal Medicine alongside Naturopathy made the course very well rounded. There are so many aspects of natural medicine that complement and strengthen one another and studying Naturopathy gave me a great overall understanding of these and many additional clinical tools I could use as well as Herbal Medicine.” – Marina, Graduate in Herbal Medicine & Naturopathy
