“We want to make the world a better place, but let’s have the craic while we’re doing it”
We recently caught up with Pixie aka Caroline McMullen to chat about the upcoming 2022 Manifestival. Taking place on the 20 -23 May this is a festival like no other.
Pixie has curated a boutique transformational festival, which is now in its 2nd year. This is a site specific festival, designed for the beautiful and extraordinary location, set in a country manor in Dundalk Louth. Manifestival’s ethos is all about: Community-Craic-Change.
Pixie enthuses that the festival is focused on bringing about positive change within our communities across Ireland – with workshops centred around ideas such as food production, water care, sustainable eco housing, mental health care, children’s education, reforesting the land, the arts, protecting our ancient heritage and preserving our language. Manifestival is a place to have safe and open discussions on how we all can improve areas within our communities. That is just one facet of Manifestivals offering.
The weekend line up will see the best of Ireland’s homegrown talent take to the stage bringing you fresh electronic beats – from Techno, house, RnB, old skool n reggae. As well as enchanting acoustic music from singer songwriters to Trad musicians. Ireland’s darling of comedy Killian Sundermann will be hitting the stage – bringing his humorous take on Irish culture. Killian has quickly become a staple on social media, be prepared for big laughs with this one! The tradition of storytelling is almost as ancient as Ireland itself. Storytelling and workshops are a big part of Manifestival. Guests will be entertained by the Irish seanchaí (storytellers). Considered the custodians of Irish history they have the ability to recite lore and tales of wisdom.
There will be a Cacao ceremony, Sound bath, Hawthorn herbalism, Gaelic reconnection, Head Cleaner, Manifestation workshops to name a few. There will also be a sauna, a hot tub as well as a cuddle puddle tent, along with massage therapies to reconnect to the senses. Refreshments are provided by a very special Juice and Cacao bar, serving up green juice, ginger lemon shots, cacao elixirs and kombucha. All this plus full veggie meals and all included in the ticket price! Please note, this is an alcohol-free event.
Manifestival will suit all levels of festival goer, from the folks who want to rough it in a tent, to those who prefer their creature comforts. Cabins are available in doubles or triples, so gather your tribe and book soon to avoid disappointment.
