Dublin Peace Festival in association with a host of local, national and international partners will be presenting a variety of events and activities throughout Dublin, to celebrate and promote a culture of peace from the 28th of June until the 5th of July.
Expect concerts, peace projects in schools and libraries, film screenings, keynote addresses from national and international peacemakers and a range of off site and online participatory ‘happenings’ for families and all the people of Dublin to enjoy.
All events except the cinema screening are free of charge. Enjoy and share!
Highlight Events of the Dublin Peace Festival
Monday 30th June, Screening of ‘Peacemakers’ at the Lighthouse Cinema Smithfield, 8.30pm
A one-off screening of a unique interview between two active Peacemakers. Jeremy Gilley and Prem Rawat approach the subject of peace from different perspectives. Jeremy’s efforts are aimed at global ceasefire, an end to violence and awareness of International Peace Day, Prem focuses on the individual’s need for personal peace.
Wednesday 2nd July, ‘Peacebeats’ at Sweeney’s Dame Lane, 9.30pm
Live music, videos and generally a cool evening with a Peace Focus. Paul Congdon, publisher of Positive Life will be acting as MC for the night.
Friday 4th July, Dublin Peace Concert, Meeting House Square, Temple Bar, 7.30pm
Donal Lunny, Paddy Glackin, The Omagh Community Choir and many more.
Saturday 5th July, Time for Peace, with Peace Ambassador Prem Rawat, Dublin Convention Centre, 6.30pm
